This ain’t no autoblog! This is personal and real and raw. I want this blog to be a space where I can connect with people to help them as well as help myself through creative expression, journaling and continual learning.
I’m a husband and father of two children and one dog (Buddy)
who grew up in Maryland (best state in the union!). I got my undergraduate degree in Psychology at a small PA college and then my Masters in Psychology and Counseling at a graduate university in VA.
I’ve devoted my life to helping and teaching other people. I’ve been a youth group counselor, a high school and college lacrosse coach, a snowboard instructor, a classroom therapist, a clinical director and an outpatient therapist.
I co-own an outpatient practice called Parenting & Family Solutions in Harrisburg, PA where we provide individual, family and couples therapy, trainings and workshops, licensure supervision for LPC candidates in the state of PA and VA, and consultation to other mental health professionals trying to start or grow a practice.
I’m also an online therapist through eHome Behavioral Care. We provide counseling services through video-conferencing in a number of states throughout the country.
In my free time (what’s that right?!) I love spending time with my family, watching movies, working out (running and Crossfit), playing and watching ice hockey, snowboarding, surfing, standup paddle boarding, shaping surfboards and SUPs, listening to music; podcasts and audiobooks.
